COME! ~ all ye who wrestle with the times we live in ….

Join us to be stirred, shaken, engaged, listened to and more as we bring to life “12 Characters in Search of an Apocalypse” by Andrew Boyd published in issue 11 of ‘The Dark Mountain Project’ and first performed in Portsmouth October 17th, 2017.

Starting with the question: “Is Climate Change Real?” these 12 characters offer their own complex perspectives on living today, what they see coming towards them, and what they are (or aren’t) doing about it.

Using the words of these characters as a seed for conversation, our evening together includes time to engage and explore our own complicated relationships with the questions that may arise as the changes in climate continue to be an ever bigger part of day to day lives.

Format

We will begin promptly at 19.15 pm with the reading of the 12 monologues with brief interludes for enquiry and exploration – this will take about an hour. Our remaining time together is then open for conversation and sharing to explore our own perspectives about what is happening around us.

Arrival

Please arrive between 18:30 and 19:00 for a prompt start at 19:15

Parking

If there’s no space by the house, please park by the Bishops Sutton Church, SO24 0AD, a 5 min walk away.
